Shipping policy

All items ship from the USA.

New Books: It costs $7 flat rate to ship an order, no matter how many books are ordered. All orders ship via USPS, and all addresses must be USPS-approved addresses. Most books are shipped out within 3 days. During peak times and unseasonable weather, it can take longer to ship, but this is rare. Once orders are submitted, they cannot be cancelled despite the delay in shipping.

Used Books: Ship USPS Media Mail within 2 days of order placed and cost $4 flat rate no matter how many used books you purchase.

Backroads Bookshop Apparel: Free shipping! We believe in making thoughtful choices. That’s why our items are made to order, helping reduce overproduction and unnecessary waste. Please allow 3–4 business days for production before your order ships. Once your item is ready, it’ll be on its way to you! Need it sooner? Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee, which varies depending on your delivery address.

Backroads Bookshop items: Please note: Some items, such as candles have shipping fees that vary depending on your delivery location. Any applicable shipping costs will be calculated at checkout.

Cordova Outdoors: An order confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at time of purchase. Our shipping software system will estimate shipping and delivery dates depending on the shipping option selected. Please allow up to 10 business days for wrapped coolers and custom orders.
